We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead our accounting group in order to efficiently run our business. This role will own all of our accounting activities including cash management, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Our ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and flexible environment, be a helpful team player, detail oriented, and eager to enhance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review, implement, and manage an efficient accounting workflow process that includes internal controls and segregation of duties
  • Cash management processes including bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Payroll coordination with our outsourced payroll company
  • Run our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Assist in creation of annual budgets
  • Help manage Line of Credit/factoring relationships and processes
  • Consolidated financial reporting of our wholly-owned subsidiary
  • Assist with compliance reporting, including VAT, income tax, and 1099s
  • Oversight of employee expense reimbursements and responsible for expense policy compliance
  • Fixed asset and depreciation tracking
  • Post monthly journal entries (accruals, depreciation, other)
  • Compile consolidated financial statements prepared on a monthly basis
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process
  • Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
  • Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
  • Keep up with financial policies, regulation, and legislation
  • Proposes process improvements for efficiency
  • Work closely with our CEO and VP, Operations on any other tasks relating to reporting, forecasting, compliance, and general operations

skills required from you

  • Proven 3-5 years of work experience as an Accountant
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Solid understanding and experience working with an accounting system (ex: NetSuite)
  • Proficient in Excel/Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with NetSuite, Expensify, Zenefits, and Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
